A Cowlitz County judge ruled Washington’s ban on high-capacity magazines unconstitutional Monday, but just minutes later the state Supreme Court issued an emergency order keeping the law on the books while the state appeals the decision.

Cowlitz County Superior Court Judge Gary Bashor ruled that Washington’s ban on the magazines, which hold more than 10 rounds and have been banned since 2022, violated both the Washington state and U.S. constitutions.

The courts never move fast. Must have been some back door action going on to get this shut down so quickly

Remember when Sideshow Bob fought so hard for the people’s voice when we voted for $30 car tabs? Pepperidge Farm remembers…

Washington gun store sold hundreds of high-capacity ammunition magazines in 90 minutes without ban

KELSO — A Washington state gun store owner said he sold hundreds of high-capacity ammunition magazines in the short span of time Monday between a judge ruling a ban on the sales unconstitutional and the state filing an emergency appeal to the Washington Supreme Court.

Wally Wentz, owner of Gator’s Custom Guns in Kelso, opened his store Monday when he heard about the ruling, KGW-TV reported. Wentz is behind the court challenge to Washington’s high-capacity magazine ban, with the help of the Silent Majority Foundation in Eastern Washington. A post on the gun store’s Facebook page said the store was adjusting hours to stay open longer and that it would be open daily “UNTIL WE GET TOLD WE CANT SELL MAGS AGAIN.”

It’s going to be an uphill fight because the Supreme Court is elected by the same people that elect Venezuela Jay, Sideshow Bob, et al

Yes. They are the Supreme law of all of the US. It's only a matter of time until they do. Probably just waiting for the right case at this point.

Just 10 years ago Washington had some of the most pro 2A laws in the entire country. This state was incredibly gun owner friendly. Sad to see what a decade of Jay Inslee and Bob Ferguson as AG did to our state. SCOTUS is our only hope at this point. Thank Trump for his 3 justices, hopefully he gets 1 or 2 more this term.
