I'd like to say thank you to all the friends new and old that have reached out to offer insight and assistance.  Special tags don't come around every day and when they do a guy needs all the help and info he can get.  I've given specific info via pm to countless folks over the years in hopes the good karma will one day circle back and it seems like it has.

Also, probably gonna be a pretty uneventful thread until it's done. There are other tag holders lurking and I'm in this thing to win it.  I'd die if I spent hundreds of scouting hours learning a target buck just to have him blown up by another tag holder because I posted summer scouting pics :bdid:  :sry:

I did spend the day in there yesterday. Covered a lot of ground relearning access points and such. Saw a LOT of deer. Gonna be a fun summer.

I only know the area from duck hunting.  With that said, I would scout the area south/west of the parking area at the end of Road C.  Ive seen lots of deer back in there while duck hunting, but did not pay much attention to them.  Ive even seen elk back in there, believe it or not.  Just stay south/west of the game reserve.
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

My Ol Man had a tag for that area last year.  @Mfowl was a huge help in getting us pointed in the right direction, but most of my knowledge came through him so don't want to divulge too much.

Most of the hunting experience was during Nov. & Dec. so likely way different than what you'll experience in early archery.

State Park Campground was great and cannot stress having good glass and being patient.  Many blown stalks being too aggressive with lots of eyes & ears around.  Other than that, enjoy the scouting and time spent chasing deer!

Time to brush up your riding skills. Best way to cover and see that country is off the back of a horse that little extra elevation makes a big difference.
