Went through this quickly but don’t tell me I’m the only one that shoots a 7wsm???thanks to JJhunter, I’d like a 280 AI though!
168 Berger’s BTW

Not the only one with a 7mm, but one of few shooting the boutique version!

It's always been an arrow in reality, but if I had a dream situation and any gun it would probably be 25 caliber. I prefer 25-06 because I am familiar with it. But I could be persuaded to many other options available on the market.

My favorite caliber has changed over the years. I’m more successful when I’m hunting multiple species with the same rifle. They all (pretty much) do the same thing. I love .300 Win Mag for everything larger than coyotes. With modern scopes and infinite choices in bullets you can choose almost anything bigger than a .243 Win for almost anything smaller than grizzly. Nothing is more important than shooting well. No caliber can compensate for poor shooting.

Couldn’t say it better.

Few years back I shot the heads off 9 straight grouse with my 300 wm out to 45 yards.  With 215 bergers its solid on elk to 1000 yds.  From grouse to elk it gets the job done.

you're definitely the only one :chuckle:

Seriously though, the 7wsm is truly a travesty as it's a phenomenal chambering.  If only someone like Hornady would have developed it there would have been the support behind it to make it.  With an 8tw, a case full of n565, and a 180gr Berger or eldm its a beast.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

270 Winchester with 129gr Barns.
You'll never get a Big'un if you keep shooting Little'un's.

Poor wording on the question or poor wording on the answers?
