Ruger made Marlin in 45-70 for 200 yards and closer and a Savage Axis in 6.5x55 for a little further out.

I'm Archery.
I only have limited time for hunting and like it when every tag in my pocket is valid.

Eastern WA rifle. Spending vacation time on deer season so will probably only make it out for a weekend, but will take the 6.5 needmoor. About time to cash in on points in some better states...

Bow then Remmy 700, have a MT "multi-season" tag in my pocket.
Maybe I'll even go back in January.

We have 7 elk tags in Wyoming and I will probably hunt a day or two here in Washington too. Browning MK3 BAR in 300 Win Mag always does the trick.

Same 30-06 I've drug into the woods for the last 30+ years.
Might give the Rem 700 a rest and give the BAR a turn.

I’m hunting Oregon archery and then Idaho and Washington deer and elk with my rifle. 300 WM where I have to shoot far and my compact 06 when I’ll be in timber.
