Well I thought that hunt was done a long time ago. Those must have been all raffle guys or special special permit.
Bummer. I work with a lot of pear growers in the unit and some love to send me pictures of the elk in their orchards all winter long

Adding to this sentiment, it’s a tough hunt due to logistics of hunting in and around housing. You’re either shooting across a driveway, over a house or from the corner of a house. Not a hunt for guys that Willy nilly shoot elk. I spoke to all but 1 tag holder I believe. 2 hunters filled their tags with very respectable bulls (one of the tag holders was a 80+ year old women) who made a beautiful 600+ yard shot. There was also 1 guy who shot a bull right in the back leg and then couldn’t follow up on it because it was on a property line and crossed over to a piece he couldn’t get on. Bottom line, to OP’s point, if you don’t have connections or live in the area it’s not a tag to put in for
