I've never been elk hunting and I want to get one to fill my freezer, so antlerless would be find by me. How much would I pay for a guided hunt, preferably in Klickitat County, near where I live. What do I need to do and what should I expect? I had a tag for 2024, but elk seem to be difficult to find around my place. Thx.

Buy cameras/cell cameras and scout the areas around you. Killing an elk is never 100% but hunting where the elk are helps.

Guides get elk because they spend time and effort.
If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

Voting for Democrats is prima facie evidence you are a skirt wearing, low T, beta male. Do better.

Well, they also have access to property you don't.

For sure.. but plenty are killed by those who hunt public if you hunt the game rich pockets.

Bearpaw, the site owner, runs some pretty affordable out of state cow hunts and can line you up with the tags.

Whichever guide you find, make sure you do a deep dive into their reviews and business rating. Unfortunately there have been several guides in the past (and still active) in WA that run a less-than reputable service.

I'll second talking to Bearpaw, he may be able to point you in the right direction or offer a hunt. I've never hunted with Bearpaw, but Dale has a solid reputation and people I know have hunted with him and had nothing but good things to say.

If just killing an animal is the goal, this is how I would do it. Even with a guide, elk hunting in WA is not easy. It gets easier with special permits, private land, etc. There are some very affordable, almost guaranteed success out of state antlerless hunts.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

Good on you too Bearpaw. Without this site these offers probably wouldn't take place.

Hopefully you have better luck than me. I have 14 cow points and can’t draw a damn colcockum cow tag. I know a guy who has drawn three in that time so YOU may have a chance

Look into landowner tags especially out of state
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
