Big Georgia Whitetail
Michelle_Nelson:
It is call a flehman pose or refered to as a lip curl by most hunters. Usually made when the deer is checking to see if a doe is in estrus. Sometimes seen if the deer detects an odd smell or that of a predator.
The deer is mounted on a 64U Head Up Manakin (form), with a right turn. I have a good size Mule Deer cape and a 170+ Class set of mule deer sheds. I might mount it with a lip curl.
