Just saw one more day in 10, August 9. Looks like enough quota left I suspect we may still get another day or two after that. Nice that we’re getting well into August. Mature fish are at all the spots.

Had a hard time deciding between the king or ling for dinner tonight. Went with the ling. So good.

Lots of Chinook going through the locks in the last week or so. Hopefully some got bonked in area 10 today.

Area 2 (Westport) was hot yesterday, two 14.2lb and an 18.5lb were caught on the charter I was on.
The daily derby winner was 31.2lb  :yike:

We were going out Wednesday to fish, the Charter called this morning and cancelled, she said 11 foot swales the rest of the week :bash: :bash: :bash:

We caught our three by 8am Saturday, nothing too sizable at #10/7/5 and a couple bonus pinks. Didn't see tons of action around us, saw lots of boats still out on my our way back in. Green flies and green spoons were our ticket, whole herring wasn't producing like it has been for me. My son bounced out of bed at 430am and didn't complain once. He did mention that he was worried about sea monsters eating us during the 30 minute ride in the dark to the grounds :chuckle:

We have been living our best life in the new boat. Last weekend we did 3 days in a row of 6-7 person limits on salmon, lingcod and rockfish. There are kings around but half our salmon are coho now. I am in Neah Bay until the 28th then taking the boat to Illwaco and starting in tuna.

Salmon on the dock demon! I like it :chuckle:
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

It’s basically all I have been using nearshore too! So much fun.

Gorgeous boat, that's been my dream boat for about 25 years.
