I’ll bump for Traditions scope! Bought one for my Optima V2, bore sighted the gun/scope and went shooting. Was on paper at 75 yards immediately and after 6 more shots this was my group at 100. 3 50 grain Triple 7 pellets with a 270 grain Federal BoreLOK coming out at about 2100fps. Primed with Winchester Shotshell primers. I had to clean after every 3rd shot it seemed like, I might try white hots in the off season for a cleaner burn. I can’t stomach the BH209 price yet
This was my first time ever shooting a muzzleloader and man do I love it!

I'm glad you like yours! I bought one to try and I literally threw it in the garbage. Reticle is too thick and it's like a 1/2 power. I can see the target better with my naked eye. Was highly disappointed.

That is a huge bummer @buglebuster I wonder if there is a mass amount of allowed tolerance in the product(allowing for a range of decent scopes to junk ones that hit shelves) or if it’s just the difference person to person.

I will agree I can MAYBE see the target better with my naked eye, but definitely not with a peep sight covering the entirety of it at 50 yards even. The scope is definitely lower quality than any other I own but for me, it homes me in on target and the crosshairs are a lot finer than a peep sight! I guess it definitely just depends on personal preference perhaps and what works for everyone!

I have fuzzy eyes also which got worse in the last two years. I ditched the Williams peep and went with the Primary Arms on my Knight Disc Extreme. Knight also makes a one piece rail that has a cutout over the breech that makes it easy to install the cap or primer. I ordered the scope online and purchased the rail from Bob’s in Longview. They installed both for free.

Trijicon rmr 1 moa is the way. I have astigmatism, and I’m still the most accurate with the red dot. I’ve tried open sights, peep sights, and the vortex 1x as well. As of now I’ll stick to the rmr.

It used to be primitive weapons  :chuckle:
Blackpowder 11s and buffalo bullets

Pretty happy we can use  209s pellet's, powerbelts and a 100 yard scope myself.
