Cap advice on traditions rifles
« on: September 07, 2025, 11:57:07 PM »
I have a few traditions BP rifles, and a Kentucky pistol.

I’ve always used musket caps, but I know they usually come with #10 nipples or similar size

I usually get hit in the face with a little shrapnel from the musket caps, but they seem to do ok, but I’m questioning my decision and while I will always wear safety glasses, im wondering if the smaller caps run hotter and have better ignition

I chose to go with the musket caps because my hands dont always like manipulating smaller diameter caps and the musket caps are easier for my fingers but if the smaller caps offer better performance I’d like to know
