Has the population of wolves in unit 39 calmed down? Deer hunted the northern part 5 years ago and saw lots of tracks. Would like to go back hunting for deer but saw very few

I was in there in Sept and didn't see any super fresh sign, but they had been there recently.

I've only seen tracks in 39, but not the wolves themselves

We killed big bucks in that area back in the early 2000’s. But last time we saw some elk but not much for deer

I saw a wolf up the middle fork a couple years ago, during spring bear, unfortunately when I took the cover off my rifle my scope fogged over and I was unable to get a shot in the small window it gave me.
