yikes...  happened to me with my buck last year --the gagging while gutting.  Gut shot a nice muley near dark tracked / followed him till pitch black,  came back and found him a daylight.  Oh that was a bad smell... yakked a few times but that was nothing compared to the thought of losing him after hitting him.  Just for spite I think he lost a point on each side during the night.   :yike: :drool:
