Landowner elk permits
« on: May 16, 2007, 08:01:41 AM »
Anyone know how these landowner elk permits work? ( 4-0 cattle company, Teanaway ranch, Blackrock ranch ) If you draw the permit are they guided hunts or do they just give you access to the property? The seasons are pretty long so can you hunt as many days as you want or do you get like a two day block of hunting time?

Anyone know what size bulls come off these ranches?

I talked to the guys at 4-0 last year.  The permits are just for access to the property.  They probably will give you a short block of time 1-3 days to get it done.  As far as size of bulls I am not sure but I have heard that there are some pretty big ones on those ranches, I think they would be good tags to have in your pocket personally, limited competition and animals that aren't hunted too hard.

But how much does the access cost you???
It says you might have to pay for access... Even after you draw the tag.
