I am looking to get involved with other Brit owners and during a search, I came across this club. Is anyone familiar with it?

10...  I don't know much about the WA Brit club. But from what I hear, the Whidbey Island Brit club is a pretty good club.  The all fall under the umbrella of the American Brittany Club, which falls under the AKC.  Heres a link the the Whidbey Island club.  Both clubs hold trials and I know the Whidbey club holds fun days and things like that.  You might also want to join the Yahoo group Dual Brittanys.  Theres a  lot of good info on that as well.

Most dog clubs in our area are for show dogs.

I joined the Yahoo group...I have found some good info there. I am going to keep looking for a "hunting" oriented Brittany group though, based in WA.

The whidbey island club is almost 100% about field trials and hunt tests.  They don't even offer show events yet, but its in the making.  You must understand, Britts are bred to be show/field dogs.  You are going to get a mixture of both in the Brit world.  The Whidbey island club is supposed to be a very good brittany club, I hear the Wash Brit club is as well, both are WAY more about hunting and trialing then they are show.

Rich

Welcome to the yahoo groups site.  If your interested in trials at all, there will be a walking trial around Aug 7th and 8th at Scatter Creek south of Olympia.  Its put on by the Wa Brit club and open to all pointing breeds.  You should see some good bird work and you can see what field trials are all about.
