I have the worst luck
« on: October 21, 2010, 08:14:43 PM »
I'm not sure why but i do. So I'm new to the hunting thing and the few Friends, i have that hunt all had to work last weekend. They have to work this weekend also. I hunted 454 out past ravensdale for the opening weekend and did not even see a doe let alone a buck. I have also been out there after work two times this week. But no luck.So I'm not sure what to do this weekend. I want to go hunt but have no one to go with and have no idea were to go now. I know there is deer out there i just cant find them. So what do you all think i should do. I'm open to hunting just about anywere with in 4 hours of my house and it is auburn.

Keeep at it.

Don't give up.

You just have to put in your time and learn the ropes of the areas you want to hunt.

I like to go in where I figure most wont want to go.  You will be amazed at what lies behind dense patches of vegation that runs along our roads, and nature has a fast way of forgetting your there if you sit still and make miminal sound and movement.  I have duty this weekend, or I would take you up on your offer.  Good luck, and dont give up!

head to vail, lots of other people but lots of deer too, get off the roads, you should have much more action than you did last weekend especially with the weather.

I didn't think you could hunt Ravensdale any more, I heard they shut it down tighter than a midget's shoe :dunno:? I think I have you beat. I spent over 1k in licenses this year and have hunted exactly two days... I understand your pain.

I live in that area, I'm not sure where you are referring to, but there is King County Conservation land's that are DNR, no hunting there allowed, other than that the surrounding area between Black Diamond and Ravensdale has been bought out by developer's and they aren't allowing anyone to hunt there. PCC land is also no hunting :dunno:.

Don't give up. I went 7 years with out getting a deer. Finally punched my tag this year. Got my last one in '03. It had been so long, I almost forgot how to gut em.  :chuckle:

Doesn't apply to what I was referring to. There are King County DNR lands (no hunting) and State DNR lands (hunting except conservation areas).
