That sounds like good news not bad. What's $300?

Longtat,
Where abouts are you headed? I'm still up in the air about Montana. The late spring has me worried as the unit I hunt closes May 15th.

too late for me to pass... Im already invested.

300$ = 150 for Non-res big game + 150$ non-res bear permit + online fee = 310 I think...

as for the snow, thats what Im hearing but I wont be able to get up there until mid-may any way. Do you think they will be hibernating until the snow is gone?

As for where Im hunting, unit 2... Im getting a little assistance from my good buddy Joe...aka OUTFITTER

They'll be out and moving down to the exposed areas.  I will be hunting bear in ID this year as well.  A little on the backside of Mica Peak and the rest of the time over near Avery.  Season goes for a while in that area.

You should be alright Late may, a lot of the bears are already up and about grazing on fresh grass shoots, I heard of quite a few being seen already up here in skagit county.  Good luck with the hunt.

they will be grazing.....that is 100% fact. you are going to have  a snowmobile to get to the areas that hold bears....that is also a fact. last weekend we got 30" of snow at 3k feet in idaho, got another foot today.......it is an amazing year!
