Grouse Hunting
« on: December 30, 2010, 03:40:32 PM »
Since tomorrow is the last day to hunt them, I want to go out with my son to give it a try.  I have only gone out to Forks, WA to hunt them and dont want to go that far.  Any place close by the Lakewood area to hunt them.  Thanks.

Best of luck.  I've never heard of anybody pursuing grouse here in the eastern part of the state this late in the year.

From Lakewood I'd probably head south on Highway 7 and hunt somewhere between Elbe and Morton. Or if you don't want to drive quite that far, there are some areas around Eatonville you could hunt. Lots of National Forest land between Elbe and Morton on the west side of the highway. The east side of the highway is mostly private and access is more difficult.
