Horse Meat packer Needed.
« on: May 01, 2008, 01:46:22 PM »
Does anyone know someone in the st Helens era who is willing bring horses in and pack out meat in sept. My problem is with two hunters in the back country it is so Tuff to shoot a Bull and get him out with out loosing 3 days not to mention when you finally get back to hunt your legs are shot. I am looking for someone local that could do it for a reasonable price (-400$) I don't know if that works or not based on gas prices.

I also need info for a meat packer for the St Helens area in September. I broke my foot on May 1st and the expected heal time after surgery is 4 to 6 months. I'm hoping to still hunt the early archery season, at least to be able to sit in a tree stand. My fear is that I wont be healed enough to pack an animal out and want to have a back up plan. Any information on meat packers would be very helpful. I have not found any professional outfitters in the area and as I plan to hunt fairly close to the road horses may or may not be needed. A couple of strong backs wanting to make a few hundred bucks may be all I need to not have to miss out on a season.

Thanks Kevin
