WSTA Fur Auction Saturday
« on: February 24, 2011, 07:42:18 PM »
Just a reminder; WSTA Fur auction Satuday at Fort Borst Park in Centralia. Gates open just after 8:00 AM, probably won't be organized 'till 9:00.
Fur check in, in the morning. Auction in the afternoon.
Accepting fur for NAFA all day.

I know the weather sucks but that's the luck of the draw. Anybody is welcome.

I was so busy with NAFA stuff I can't really say what prices were like. Took in about 5 pickup loads of fur for shipment to Canada.
Wish I would have had more time for BSing. Sorry if I didn't get to talk everbody or had to cut a conversation short.

so nobody knows what the price of fur is going for these days? I'd really love to know more about it. My dad sold coyote hides back in the day. Made pretty good money doing it too.

Here's a link to a little info from NAFA on day 6 of the February sale. Coyotes were sold on this day which might give you an idea what coyotes are worth.
A little word of caution though, all coyotes are not created equal. You will have to figure out what grade of coyotes you have in your area and of course the quality of an individual coyote can change your average considerably.
Our coyotes are probably closer to semi-heavy on the east side with maybe a few heavys. West side can go semi-heavy but you get a lot of off color which will pull your average down.
Of course it is long past prime for coyotes and anything caught in the last month is probably not much.

Not likely. more like 30 a piece. Talked to a guy today from Colorado Trappers Association. He said they has a high of $89 for a coyote at their sale and an average of $38.

Yotes at 30 each??? Cat at 95ish each???

Beaver seems really low this year? You would be better off sending it to Moil getting it tanned and selling it on ebay or craigslist. Big market in those areas. With that said great price on your rats!!!

Did you keep any beaver? I'm looking for some WA pelts and could have my dad pick them up. He lives in Deer Park. I'm wanting to send some in for tanning. Do you have any cat left? If so I would like to talk about buying one of them aswell.

If interested PM me

thanks
