2 wolves spotted across Highway 2 from the rest area about 3 miles from the Lake Wenatchee turnoff at Coles Corner some time last week. Hoping to get a copy of the photo that was submitted to the state at some point. According to the contact who submitted the photo, the wolves have been confirmed by WDFW (for whatever that's worth). Guess I'll have to be a little more weary of my surroundings in the woods this summer and fall over in that area.

3 out of the last 4 years we've heard/seen them during the high hunt in that general area.

Yeah knew they were probably around. Seen tracks up on Nason Ridge the last few years that were too big to be a normal dog's. It's definitely a very wolfy area. Probably won't be long until my first encounter.

Dale Could we possibly raise the wolf count (158+). If someone just periodically checked this thread it might be miss leading since the number hasn't been updated in quite a long time.

Saw 4 up Eight mile creek rd. Out of Winthrop last weekend. One of them only had 3 legs. 2 grey colored ones, 1 black, and 1 almost white.

Unconfirmed sighting - just couldn't tell for sure.

End of July 2015, just above (uphill) from Hereford Meadow in the Manastash.  Walking back to my truck after scouting for elk.  An animal jumped up from a bed 60 yards in front of me.  It was definitely canine, grey-colored, round ears, didn't see the tail.  It was built like a Saint Bernard, much bigger than any coyote I have every seen.  It jumped behind a tree and some bushes, then I saw it take two running strides into the brush.  It all happened VERY fast.  I looked for tracks but it was matted down grass and didn't see any.  I wish I could confirm it, but I didn't get a great look at it.
