Once again i got to enjoy being serenaded (sp?) by the stranger pack last night. Stepped outside to take a leak at 9:30pm and heared them howling maybe 300 yards from my house. Went on sporadically until 10:20pm.All the granola types protect wolves because they "would love to hear wolves howl someday."When its right in your back yard and you have to worry about pets safety, or the neighbor kids who are no more than 100 yards from the howling pack, its not so romantic anymore. The helicopters chasing them around your neighborhood, right over your roof, shooting noise makers that sound like shotguns, thats not so romantic either. But the idiots in their studio apartments in seattle dont consider these things.

Ya, read that too. People aren't going to shoot the wolves because: 1) they're afraid they'll get in trouble if they do2) don't have a gun3) don't have a gun handy when they need it4) couldn't hit anything anyways5) not home when the wolves come eat their petsin any case, I don't expect that *most* people will "handle" the situation even when they're fully justified to do so.
