got a tagged bear. (added a new picture )
« on: July 12, 2011, 01:37:32 PM »
It looks like this new bear in the area has a red tag in his ear. Who or wht do they tag them? Is he a trouble maker or something?

is there any pics of him where the tag is legible?  if so call Game and fish, they may have a history of it.

Red tag means that bear's homosexual.  It must be a fashion thing.  Those genes won't be going anywhere useful.
Our defense is in the preservation of the spirit which prizes liberty as the heritage of all men, in all lands, every where. Destroy this spirit, and you have planted the seeds of despotism around your own doors.

Nice pics!  Yellow tag is a "call before consuming tag".  Not sure about the red.  Call the regional office or send the pics via email.  I bet you can get a little info on the bear.  There are not many marked.  Sometime bears slip a collar and this could be a bear that did that.  So could be valuable information if so.

He might have been captured and relocated.  Maybe they just want to see where he goes, what area he ranges in, how old he gets to be, etc.  FW might be interested in where he is now, and how healthy he looks.  He looks very healthy!
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Here is another picture. Kind of blurry but it looks like he might have a coller to.

Just another bear.

This one was captured and hard released in my yard the year before. Pretty sure it's the same bear.
