Heading out this Thursday with the wife and two daughters for their first year of hunting.  Can't wait, already got the truck packed! Hopefully they will have a great time.

We won't head out till after work on Friday. Hunting private ground on a place we've been hunting for 10+ years we don't do much pre-scouting. Kinda have them dialed in by now. Still tough to find big bucks though...
Good luck to all.

Friday around 1pm.  Grab the boys from school around 12 noon and head home, grab the preloaded trailer and head north of Davenport.  Should pull in around 5pm and set up by 6:30pm.  Hopefully shoot a couple yot's Friday night since we can still use lights.

Saves a lot of money that way... lol.....
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Leaving the 19th for 4 days so our 13 yo daughter can hopefully bag her first deer!!!  I don't know who is more excited, her or us!  I'll be in my stand and she'll be with her dad in the other.  Cannot wait and this weather is making me itch to be up there NOW!!!  Fire, good book and coffee until opening day would be really nice.  Darn work anyway!!!

I will be leaving Lewiston around noon or 1 on Friday and heading up to Spring Lake campground in the Tucannon, should be there by 1 or 2 depending on when I get out. My dad is heading up on Wenesday to get camp set up and probably look around the property a little on Thursday. I think he has a little scouting he is going to do for my two buddies that are coming also. The place of my family's we hunt is not a four person property, they will be on public land, but we have a good spot for them.

O'dark thirty friday morning, taking my daughter (like a LOT of other folks) and cannot wait  :IBCOOL:. We have been at the range once a week for the last month. Had the cams up since June. Filled my second deer tag a month ago so the property has had a month to sit and fatten up one more of those delicious does   . She was excited as she only had to get up early three days this week (with the holiday) then I told her she would have to get up real early Friday as we will be over the pass by daylight  :yike:, man was she pumped  >:(. I am sure she will get over it while taking care of her first kill, hopefully Saturday morning....Then I get to try and fill my other tag.

As stated in previous post BE SAFE, HAVE A BLAST, AND BRING ON THE VICTORY PHOTOS AND STORIES!!!

A quick reminder to those of us taking new, first time hunters, lots of pictures, and make it as fun as you can. Most successful hunts do not end with a kill, but a great time had by all . Good luck.
