Blue or Ruffed?
« on: October 10, 2011, 01:08:18 PM »
or Sharp Tailed?  JUST KIDDING....   :chuckle:

What do you guys think?  It was my first grouse and I am quite thankful for getting it.  My buddy, his son and his step son and I were hunting his property out in the Okanogan Valley and we came across this one sitting off the side of a game trail.  Blasted him with 7.5 shot with a modified choke from about 20 yards.

3 years into hunting and first one of these little buggers for me!  So often I would go out and not see a single grouse or they would flush in heavy cover or they would fly off before I could get close or some other craziness would happen.

Tasted mighty good.

Good hunting!

- Jg
