Sorry if someone else brought this up already, but I'm missing all of my messages from after Oct 30th or so. If they're not recoverable oh well.. but it would be nice to have them back at some point.

In order to save the forum they had to back up to right around the 4th of November so I am pretty sure all those messages after were lost....

I can't click on individual classifieds.  I can read the list but if I click on a picture or an ad I get the "you must be registered message"  when I follow the instructions it only takes me back to the forum page.  I've logged out and back in a few times...

Firefox users have spellcheck built-in.  IE users can download add-ons such as Speckie and IESpell.

I have an interesting problem.  After learning my lesson by being banned for participating in political and religious conversations here I signed up under this new name (Band - short for "banned") ;) and the recent site problems caused me to no longer have access to the site on my computer.  And since I can't read the tiny print on this stupid I-touch I don't even try to participate anymore.  It would have been a shame had this happened before posting my elk success story a couple months ago.

Nothing like coming right out and letting them know that you're back.   You most likely can't log on from your home computer because they banned your IP address.   If they decide to let you stay, you can ask them to remove it (the IP ban).  If not you'll need to change your IP address.  It's not that hard, just google it.

I'm not going to change my IP address.  If someone wants to volunteer to remove my ban I'll get to partipate more and continue providing reports and if not I won't.  I won't go back to my old name though, I like this one. ;)

I'm still wondering why the boundary on the reply box can't get fixed?  It used to work, why should we have to do compatibility mode or something now?

Lost Posts & Data
When the hard drive failed on the new server two weeks after we moved onto the new server (a server failure, not our fault) it took a week to get the server host company to replace the hard drive and copy files off the old hard drive of the old server onto the new server. Because we completely lost the new server hard drive, we lost those two weeks of data. We were lucky that the old hard drive was still available to copy or we would have lost everything.  :yike:

Current Issues
We are still at the same server host until I find a new host. If anything goes wrong that requires anything other than a reboot, it costs $99, and it seems that everytime we try to tweek the site on the new server it causes problems. It appears the new server is fast but not configured very well and is easy to disrupt. The last time we made a few changes I had to reboot again. The customer service is as bad or worse than I have ever experienced in any circumstance. I have been trying to find an affordable managed server host. As soon as we find a new server host and move the forum, then we will tweek everything the way we want it and try to resolve all these issues.

Please continue to post any problems or improvements you would like to see. We will eventually be able to address these issues.
Thanks, Dale
