Very sad.  My prayers go out to his family.   This is why I dont hunt alone.   Mother nature can be  very unforgiving, and doesn't matter how in shape or experienced one is.

The news reported that Trans Alta hired the chopper that found him.

Him and his family have been in our prayers also. Its sad that he passed away. But I am glad they found his body when they did.I was afraid if it didnt happen that day. That with the storms coming in.It wouldnt happen till snow melt next year. This way at least they can have some closure.

Praying for strength and healing for his family.

Very very sad. As we all get up there in years, we have to think about this type of thing happening when we go out by ourselves. We sometimes think we're in good huntin shape but ya never know when you're gonna take a fall and break a leg or something else. We do crazy unheard of things when we're pursuing that elusive bull, buck or big king salmon and forget about what we're really doing at the time. Be careful out there everyone. Take care and good luck.

Oh yeah. We think and feel like a 20 year old at those moments. But.......... Be safe all.

It was my first thought when i saw that story that he may be a member.  Very glad that at the very least they were able to find him ( for closure for the family ). Godbless & RIP.  :'(

One of the many reasons I don't like hunting alone, but you never know when it is your time. As true as it probably is that he went doing what he loved, it is still heartbreaking for his family.  Great job for his family reporting him not home in time.

This is a perfect example of why you should have a plan and make you plan known to family and loved ones.
