I think that takes the fun out of hunting... When it comes to people watching bulls, the same every day, just seems like ti takes the chase out of it. Like it becomes more about the kill than the hunt.

Now don't get me wrong, i would love to kill a big bull like that, but i want to hunt it. I would love to have a bull hanging on the wall like that. But i am just as happy with a little 4 point bull from here on the west side.

30-40k for the tag at auction

30k+ for the hunt depending on the number of spotters and guides involved.

I bet the final bill is 75 -100k :o  if the bull is on public land if hes on private sky is the limit.

I believe the Utah tag is usually into the six figure range.

Doyle sure is making a good living doing what he does.  ;)

I gotta be honest with ya... I'd rather see a punk sneak in there and poach that bull then have the friggin Governor Tag or whoever get it and pay mossback et al upwards of 100,000 for it...JUST TO Prove Money cant buy you Everything!!

I know that sounds f'd up...but I'm not kidding...I HATE how the mighty dollar is ruining hunting....

If that bull is a WR Nontyp...he can easily fetch into the 100,000's....

What a bull...

Not for me lucky... I "need" some money to buy gas and some arrows and such...but I am NOT about people paying big bucks for big bucks... its bs... I cant imagine the "reward" a guy feels when he snipes that bull after Doyle and his boys have it PEGGED for 3 months or more...

If you look at th enext frame you'll see that sasquatch was actually there and held the bull for chuck.  I'm sure Bear has that picture.  It was edited out and not printed in the magazine.   :chuckle:

I have to agree with hornseeker, except I hope its a big cougar,or a pack of wolves just to prove a point.  I hope they take a picture of the guides hand feeding it before they pull the trigger.

Serious,

I don't understand all the hoopla over this elk.

It's obviously a fenced elk that's been feed  high end horn food.

I'll bet money you could walk up to it and feed it by hand.

This is the kind of elk that a dude from Texas would pay 20k to go shoot and then call it hunting.

I call BS on this one.

My question is Why Mossback "would" put this bull on their site "if" it is a natural (not high fenced)> :dunno:

They definitely do not need to advertise, and it would be in there best interest to keep quiet until some who would folk over the tens of thousands this bull would bring?

My guess is he is in the middle of some ranch the Mossback has exclusive hunting rights to or pen raised. It does not make good business sense to advertise a wild bull like this monster on public land.

:( :dunno:  Why is it like MM?? Just because a couple guys have different opinions on something?? huh

You probably have that right Alchase...not a high fence, but like 10 miles on either side is private and they have exclusive rights...
