If you read through it all and know the laws you will be OK.

I printed a copy of this pamphlet and I plan on getting up to Spokane sometime in the next month to take the test I hope

Studied over the weekend.  Took the test Monday morning.  Safety certificate posted Monday afternoon and purchased license same day.  This just might give me the excuse/incentive to spend a winter at the cabin once I get setup.

Did you use the PDF that you can currently download off the WDFW site to study or is there another study guide of sorts?
I see the last update on it was in August of last year, just curious! https://wdfw.wa.gov/sites/default/files/publications/00513/wdfw00513.pdf

Sorry, missed this.  Just studied the online guide.  Went thru it a couple times.  Missed a couple I shouldn't have, but still got better than 90%.  Will spend more time on regs and hide care before I start trapping.

My kid (13 years old) is having a hard time getting an account here and wants to learn trapping. He is looking for a trapping course and I am asking on his behalf of any classes coming up this spring/summer. Thank you for your help.

Where in North Central WA can a person just take the test after home study? Can we call George and schedule to take the test without taking the class?

I think George would give you the test if you asked. Probably any other instructor too.

I just received a message from WDFW that they are suspending  all Trapper Education classes for at least the next 30 days because of COVID-19. Not sure what the near future holds but we are  planning on the class in August and Karen has been making plans for the classes late in the year. I know of no other classes that were or are scheduled at this time.

I just learned both trappers courses I’ve taken and passed won’t work in WA when I get there. Does anyone know what the course and trappers tags cost. I love to trap and have a lot of my gear. But if it cost to much or if it’s hard to find land I can’t see moving it all across the country. Just weighing pros and cons.
