I think a good start would be to bring back the GAME dept (we used to have one of those).

A GAME dept would be charged with managing GAME to achieve certain population objectives in GAME animals.

According to this site we are contributing to Endangered species recovery and resource conservation activities.

So does this mean we are contributing to Wolf recovery?

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

BIGTEX, what are your opinions on how to swing things back into the sportsmans hands? would a boycott work? How do we go about getting the game department to start doing what they were ment to do, MANAGING FISH AND WILDLIFE, who do we have to vote in or who do we have to vote out ? if its legal for you to give us advise in this area without compromising your job, in would be greatly appreciated. i dont like the idea of any of my money supporting wolves.. i am sure WDFW needs help, they probably just cant come out and say how they need it without landing themselves in hot water.....

and that all board and director positions are elected by the people and must have a background in the outdoors not just a biology degree. I know it will most likely fail because of the greenies and wolfies but hell its worth the fight?

..... 3 additional members would be elected from one of the following organizations. The Inland Northwest Wildlife Council,The Washington Hunter Education Instructors Association , Washington For Wildlife,Washington chapter of the MDF, NWTF, FNAWS. SCI, Seattle Sportsmens Conservation Foundation,Washington State Archery Association and any other you can think of that are pro hunting.  And the Director can only vote if there is a Tie. Does that sound better?

I don't believe that any of those requirements would pass legal muster with the courts.  I think that the only legal requirements for State office are Washington State Bar association for Attorney General and Judges and CPA for Treasurer.  I may even be wrong there
