hahaha yeah that red bull should help ... I had a .243 700 ADL and it would shoot like that but I finally shot it out after 40 yrs of endless firing ...I sure miss that gun ...I grew up on a farm in Pa and I lived to bail hay  just so I could shoot ground hogs ...every farmer within 10 miles loved my buddy Mark and I because we never let up on blasting those hole diggin little SOB ...They bad news on a trailor loaded with hay ... seen many flipped over ....thats why varmit hunting is a must if you want to be dead eye dick  :chuckle: :chuckle: especially when they get smart they slowly peek their little heads out of the hole which gives you about 2inches to hit at a long way out !!! Man I miss those days !! :dunno: :yeah:

Rockchucks/Grounhogs are my addiction. Here in central WA my personal best is 176 in a spring/ summer, loads of fun. Most of those were shot with a 300 Win mag, 180 BT and RL-19.

A few years ago in a hurry and loaded 20 rounds at partners house with just the light through the window. Went out for the evening hunt and afterwards decided it would be smart to shoot and make sure they went bang. Recoil seemed abusive and bolt was reluctant to open. Drove back and checked the scale 60 grains imr 4831, not good! I'm sure velocity was impressive but when your primers disappear it might be a sign of excess pressure.

Yea boy. 60grs. of IMR-4831 would be over doing it. I use lots IMR-4831 and H-4831. They are not the same. The IMR version will do anything the H version will do with three grains less powder.
