I heard something about there being one down off of Bullfrog Road in Roslyn not long ago and he was right by next to I-90 for all to see, had a collar on and everything.  Sheriff, WDFW, bunch of guys were there and had the road blocked off.  Some people saw it cleaning up on road kill there by the gravel pile where the DOT dumps them.

Wouldn't doubt it.  What infuriates me more than anything was these were there, 7 of them, two of them with collars, at least 3 years before they claimed there was a wolf pack there.

Yeah, when it comes to the wolves I don't believe anything wdfw has to say.  It is only a matter of time before they get a taste for buffalo :chuckle:
We left these tracks about 200 yards above the AFR gates off Ley rd.

Just curious...

Say I am out elk hunting and I run into a wolf or pack of wolves. If I feel I am in deep poo poo. What would happen if I shoot one with a collar and tell the game department I felt I was in fear of my life or in serious danger. Do you think that would fly? or would I end up behind bars and never hunt again? I realize they are federally protected, but I'm not cool with wolves. I am worried if I see one of these guys, that I am gonna panic and start blasting. They are very smart, and I am not trying to get flanked into a *censored* storm.
