I say forget about counting browtines, the third point should be past the first point or branch and be 2" or better. It is a lot easier to distinguish a 2" point in a hurry than a 1". It is too easy for the average guy to mess up on a little 1" browtine. |

I just came across some pictures of a buck that my brother and I saw in the Pasayten in September of 2005. Fits right in on this thread. |

Here are a couple more bucks from the same trip, and neither of these were legal bucks, the picture is not very clear so it's probably not possible to tell from the picture. But, I was within 50 yards and both of these bucks were completely safe, although I would not have shot either one even if a third point had made it legal, but I'm betting somebody else up there would have. I just wish I would have had a better camera with me at the time. |

Thanks, and BTW that first buck was a 1x3, and the next time we saw him he was hanging in a tree. He was good enough for somebody! |
