Is it ok to blowfish for carp in the Palouse River?

Duckhunter14:
I imagined blowfishing involved, dynamite? Id check the regs.  :chuckle:

BlowFishing...... Not sure if it's legal in Washington but they do it in other States  :yike:

I can't imagine why it would be illegal. No season, limit, license required. They considered an invasive species so I'm not really sure that anyone would bat an eye, except to ask about your equiptment, how it compares to bow fishing etc.

I would imagine only small carp would be taken since lots of big carp pull through or wiggle off massive  barbs on bow fishing gear.

Are they up there this time of year, that water will be run ing pretty good in a couple of dsys

Yelper Guy:
I called a gamie a couple years ago to ask if it was legal to bow-fish for Carp.
He said have at it.
As the water starts warming the carp move into the shallows to spawn.
I've tried fishing for them during the spawn and they ignored everything.
They were rolling and thrashing - good opportunities for a bow, or blower!
