Sportsmen lost a huge hunting advocate on Saturday.

Special T:
I figured I had better post up a picture because  if you have shot at Capitol City Bowmen, or else where you might have run into him before.

Ray was definitely an advocate for all sportsmen and a mentor to many but mostly a friend to all. He will be missed  by many. Rest in peace my friend. Prayers to Sheri and his family.

Great photo.  Excellent representation of him.  If you every spent 5 minutes talking to Ray or even saw him as you walked by on the course you saw that smile at least once and probably more.

He was taken too soon and will be missed for sure.

RIP Ray Crisp

DOUBLELUNG:
Sad news.  I only met him once, he was a pleasure to spend time with.

Special T:
If your an archer this is a chance to dust the bow off and see some pictures and talk to some folks that new him well.

Ray was the kind of pragmatic A political champion for sportsmen that we should all aspire to be like.

Wanted to let all know few more details on “The Life Celebration for Ray Crisp”, June 8 and 9 2019. This will be a weekend of many opportunities to send off Ray in style, Viking Style.

Saturday 8-3 pm June 8th Capitol City Bowmen is having a one day Safari Shoot. Come on out and shoot arrows in Ray’s honor. Bring a extra arrow that you can leave in the Memorial Stump on the practice range. HUNTERS bring your Elk Bugles and calls and fill the course with the songs of the Elk to call the Big Guy Ray Home!

Saturday afternoon after the shoot, enjoy shooting on the practice range or course as it will remain open for rest of the weekend. Saturday evening there will be a camp fire down by the CCB Clubhouse in our fire pit. Gather around and tell stories, lies, tales about Ray. Bring your own bottle and toast him with some cheer.

Sunday from 1-3 pm is the Celebration of Life Ceremony held in the indoor pistol range at the big clubhouse on the range. I must say this will be a different celebration, be aware there will be no religious services, or pastor speaking, and no receiving line for family. What there will be is a memory table of photos, stories, items, and more about Ray’s life and his many adventures. There will be videos and other tributes. Gather with us, tell your stories, or words or say nothing. There will be some appetizers and other goodies.

So bring your kleenex boxes as there will be tears and a lot of laughter. Come meet Rays family, co-workers, his Archery Family, friends, and Hunting buddies.
