Man they are fun, aren't they? So powerful I have a hard time pulling darts out of my shed.

I set up a target in the basement and the whole family likes taking turns.  I would love more hunting opportunity with it but right now I am just using it on carp.  I think I could hunt starling and squirrels but if they carried a dart off into the neighbors yards on a bad hit it would be awkward conversation.   :chuckle:

Approximately how many inches underwater are they when you shoot them?

KFhunter:
Carp will come right up top and poke out the water an inch or two

But most would be from 1 to 6 inches deep for a dart for sure

With bow I'd plug them a few feet down, but you gotta aim well under them due to refraction.

Yep what KFhunter said.  In the video they were spawning in the flooded trees so they were right under the surface of the water or surfacing to suck air.  Sometimes they go so shallow their back are out of the water.  I have not tried any deep shots but Tim Wells shoots them a little deeper.  I am getting easy passthrough at the surface so I could probably still shoot a 12-18 inches under.

KFhunter:
WoW. I have underestimated the power of a dart!
