Birdshot detection
Bunny Thumper:
Does anyone own and use a small metal detector to find bird shot in waterfowl, upland birds or turkeys?
Do they work well and do they detect both lead and steel? How about shot size. Do they find shot down to #8? Are there any specifically for game birds or do you just use the small handheld models you see online?
Thanks!

I bought one years ago to use on ducks and geese I believe it was called a wizard. I think they also sell them for finding nails in wood.

I have actually been wondering about this. I usually make a batch of bird jerky and goose pastrami and while I do my best to get all shot out I always miss some. My teeth arent the best so I cant afford any more damage. I just ordered one!!
