Birdshot detection

--- Quote from: DeerThug on May 01, 2024, 09:07:58 PM ---I have actually been wondering about this. I usually make a batch of bird jerky and goose pastrami and while I do my best to get all shot out I always miss some. My teeth arent the best so I cant afford any more damage. I just ordered one!!

Which one did you order?

I have a Wizard. Works pretty well. I'm sure it has saved me $ in dental bills. I've never tried it for lead but don't believe it would work there.

I have had good luck with the Garrett Pinpointer. I have a 2'x3' piece of Teflon cutting board and I lay the breasts and legs out on it and just go over each piece. Never nice bitting into shot or running it through my grinder.

I have a 25lb magnet I use to find pellets. It works pretty well as long as I use steel.
