All-Around Big Game Caliber
muleyslayer:
It’s tough to beat the classic 7mm rem. Mag. in my opinion
Irish_hunter93:
If I didn't have a 300 win mag already, I would have a 7mm rem mag in it's place
jdb:
I used .270 for everything for 35 years. Deer, elk, and bears were killed without issue. I also have 7mm08 that I’ve killed a couple deer and a few coyotes with, it’s a little lighter so as I get older it will get carried more.
TeacherMan:
Taking into account Alaska and the lower 48 I’d say a .300 of some sort, mag, WSM, Ultra, really wouldn’t matter. Taking out AK I’d go with a .270, just AK when I didn’t leave it much a .338.
huntandjeep:
Lower 48 I'm good with my 6.5x284.
