| Glock 20 vs Glock 40 |

Considering a new woods carry. Not worried about carrying concealed or dedicated hunting side arm. I am mostly looking for a bear/cat protection pistol. I’ve had the opportunity to shoot a Glock 40 and it was a really nice shooting pistol. They are longer than the Glock 20 and I assume a little heavier. My question is for those that have experience shooting both models. Is there a noticeable difference in muzzle flip with the shorter Glock 20 and getting back on target vs the G40? Is it worth the extra length and weight of the G40? Thanks is advance for any feedback. |

I have both plus a 20C and I like the 20 better than the 40 but I do carry the 40 hunting since it is a MOS and I run a red dot. If my 20 was a MOS I would carry it over the 40. If you were close I would let you shoot them side by side. |

I have the 40 and I shoot it much better than the 20. Better accuracy and faster back in target. It is heavy though, especially with a full mag of 220gr hardcast! |

I have both. I think I've put maybe two mags through the 40. I like shooting the 20, the 40 doesn't speed me up any. It's just obnoxiously heavier. If I'm going to carry something that heavy I'd rather have my .454 Casull. |

Ive had both and shot the 40 better as far as pin point accuracy but now only have the 20 for woods carry for the weight savings and the quicker upholstering |
