Next start your engine let engine run for 10-15 minutes before driving, this resets the sensors and computer. While waiting you will need to reset your radio for your stations.

Thank you.

My wife drove the pick up to work today but maybe I will try that tonight or tomorrow.

Stein:
I bought this one for my daughter to have in her vehicle, probably one of the best uses for $14.

Nice to know if it's something serious or one of those no big deal warnings. Easy to erase with a reader.

Thank you for the reply.

I have a cheap code reader, a Scangauge II that I have used in the past and it is always hooked up to the Colorado as my water temp and RPM gauges do not work and i use the water temp reading on the Scangauge to tell how hot the engine is.

There are NO CODES, never has been since this happened in February. I keep checking and there is nothing.

Not sure about Autozone but the local Orielly's reader will not reset the code for you anymore. They stated liability reasons. I had to drive mine for a couple weeks before it finally reset itself.

Buckmark:
Bet you have an ABS fault code hence the trac control and stabilitrac lights as those systems will be disabled by an ABS issue and those warnings come on.
A basic code reader usually wont access ABS codes, you will need an actual scan tool.
Sounds like a hard fault as they wont clear/reset right away when the key is activated (ABS systems run a self check on power up.)
Electrical tape over the lights   :chuckle:
