I don't think he did, I never saw anything aside from a few beers on a saturaday, but who knows, that's why it's such a great story lol

It is a great story and it is possible. Not sure about it being a regular hunting method but I have seen many videos of various bird traps in foreign countries that are quite surprising and effective.
