Well said dreadi! I'm all for more people at in the woods hunting and fishing... Would I tell anyone where to go in the Colockum from my best advice... In a heart beat if I felt I could help you out... Been over ten years since I've stepped foot in that gmu and don't plan on it anytime soon... Just think about the people that lived in the mid west and east coast... That didn't have Eastman's magazine's in the before the internet... I met a guy from Alabama that was in the Navy in 2005... Stationed in Bremerton... We were at this bar and I showed him a picture of an elk, a blacktail, and mule deer... Blew his mind... He only thought the USA had whitetail... He said the whole area where he lived nobody ever talked about hunting out west or other deer or elk... He wanted to hunt everyone... He lives in Colorado now... I got him his first blackie and muley... Us western hunters have always known how special of a place hunting in the west is... A lot of easterners and middle halfers have figured it out because of the interwebs long ago and that number keeps growing... It's a good thing for hunting as a culture... It's never going to die... It's a bad thing for those of you who hold a certain tag in your heart so special there is no alternative for better odds... |

I could care less about him showing that it's the Colockum unit, the part I didn't care for is when the arrogant a.. says he doesn't care about the haters and it took him 16 years to be drawn so good luck drawing it with 24 points now, or where he says there's a 1000 elk in the valley, he could be just a little more discreet if he would have drawn in 24 I would probably have been drinking coffee in the morning right next to his camp while I was glassing |
