I know there’s a bunch of you out there that wanna be Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, famous. But if you’re gonna film, photograph or any of that, let’s please keep the location off the Internet. tags are getting hard enough to draw as it is and certain units don’t need extra publicity. I know once you draw the tag you’ll probably never draw it again so it doesn’t concern you, but it affects other people and some of the draws odds. All we’re asking is please don’t post locations while you’re filming or taking pictures. I can refer back to when Steve Rennella filmed his elk hunt in the blues and everyone focused on that area for a couple years. Not saying you can’t film it or enjoy your Hunt. Let’s just use some discretion on posting certain spots and locations.

Hope you're going to let all the people with actual tv shows know that too...  :chuckle:  The top tier units weren't a secret before the internet if you were into the hunting... Since the point system started the regs show how many applicants per special permit from the season before so anyone with a little common sense can see just by those the preferred tags... And if you watch and unnamed success video of an elk hunt in eastern WA I can tell the difference between the Blues and the Colockum like a lot of us... I can also tell the difference between Desert and the Methow or Okanogan and Chelan might be harder to tell apart... I see your point... But a name on a video on someone's social media isn't the only thing making it harder to draw tags in top tier gmus... It's cause it's some of the best hunting in the state already! I only name drop here so you won't have to worry about me on other social media!!!  :chuckle:

I am noticing it in the bass fishing world.  Either dudes don’t care or they literally have no idea how easy it is to identify their location they are filming in.  Just in the last year I’ve seen some pretty good spots get exposed and turned into community holes.  What happened to the days of a few snapshots.  Still seems weird to film yourself fishing/hunting all day.  I remember the good ole days of the hunting and fishing newspaper.  The would publish a article and everyone would flock to the area, but now it’s gotten pretty detailed with technology.
