Post by: Bigtine96 on June 26, 2012, 05:03:26 PM
This is a shed I picked up late march this year, spent the next 3 Weeks looking for the match but nothing :'(

Figured I'd post it to reminisce about last years shed season a bit.

Nice find, was that a fresh one? It looks in good shape but almost looks like it's been around for a year or maby laying in mud? Great find though.

It was fresh it had a squirrel on it when I walked up to it and they had been nibbling the top layer of pitch and color off.. I've never seen that before but that's what happened haha, base still had some blood on it

Looking at the ATL, with the grass laying on top of the antler, I'd feel comfortable guessing it layed out all year.  The bull might have dropped it really early though, like January, and the blood could have stained and never was exposed enough to wash off.  Either way it's a keeper.
