Bushnell Trophy Cam. I have had a few different types, but I sure like these. I really like the battery life in them along with them being compact and some of their other features.

that is a good lookin bear, with plenty of time to add more weight on too. Happy hunting.

Great bear. What was the attracant at the trail camera?

Did a smaller bear come through just prior to that? Looks like he might be tracking down a sow. Should be in the rut right now.
One heck of a nice bear! Add another 40# of fat come late September and they don't get much better than that around here. I can taste the bear smoked ham sandwiches now :EAT:

Yes, a smaller bear did come through a little while before that, interesting observation. I am fascinated with these animals and am trying to learn as much as I can.

There is a great book out there called Black Bears - A Technical and Hunting Guidebook by Bob McGuire. Technical enough to be a bit of a tough read. But very informative for those wanting to learn.

RadSav, thank you very much for taking the time to respond with that information. I will look for that book.
