I hunted the Copalis this year for spring bear and never got a chance to see a bear. Put in quite a bit of time and effort but just couldn't get it done. Anyone know of any bears coming out of this area this year?

I saw one big bear cross the road in front of me in the reprod never would have had a chance to get a shot off if I wanted to. I spent alot of time hunting in there. Nothing! I hiked my butt off in there rode my mountain bike one day 14 miles behind gates and nothing. Tried predator calling nothing. Was not impressed at all with the very little amount of bear sign and couldn't believe the little amount of deer or elk I saw a whole 1-2 elk or deer a day. Will not be hunting there again anytime soon. Also pisses me off that we spend money to get a pass but you can't even drive into half the property on their maps because they lock the gates and then I find an area then they lock it off the next week. Why don't they just give us a key that we have to return at the end of the hunt and lock the gates to everyone else that is not suppose to be in there? I saw one hunter in there all season and a couple of workers.
