Caught a beaver in a 'bottom edge' type set on the outside bend in a creek. I placed the Comstock trap in their underwater travel route, then placed branches at both ends to funnel him in. It looked bigger when it was underwater. The property owner was happy.

I got it at the Rondy from Fred Lawence. A little spendy, but I expect it to last a long time. ($252.00 including shipping) It's a swim through with power doors; probably as quick as Bruce's new invention and a little wider. It can also be set upside down or on it's side. I'd like to use it for bobcat next season as sort of a 'walk through' set on it's side. It is well balanced and easy to carry---when it's empty. Anyway, so far....so good.

Nice work with the new trap.

That's pretty neat. I learned to trap from a family friend. While with him we caught quite a few animals. I couldn't believe it when we caught a bobcat!
