Is it legal to shoot albino stuff in Washington? I know you cant in some states but I dont know about Washington.
-
that law was repealed in 1998. I called the game dept a few years ago and asked. yes it is legal.
-
I believe that is correct.
-
I think Bucklucky's wife or somebody got a nice piebald one in the last year or two.
-
Yup she did Bone!

I know of a piebald elk taken last year during rifle season up in Gifford Pinchot. The guys had the cow head on the wood pile out front with the others for display along the road.
We didn't personally get to stop and see the hide but we talked with a guy in the woods on our way out who told us about the details.

Last I heard(last year) from a biologist is piebalds or pintos are OK to hunt.
But pure albinos are protected...They are listed as exotic wildlife and are also protected because the general public enjoys viewing them.

Just saw some pic from a friends scouting trip on sunday. Had some pic of a doe that was about half and half

No, I don't know of any law that protects albino deer, or elk. Why would there be such a law? There is no reason for it. I looked it up a while back, and it is as was already stated....the law that was on the books was repealed several years ago. There is absolutely no reason to protect albinos and that is why the law was repealed.
-
Yes, It is now legal to shoot them. I've never seen a complete albino but I have seen several "appalosa" looking deer
-
Wow.. Ya learn something new everyday. I thought it was still against the law to kill any albino critter in WA.

Don't forget the the WDFW has hired a whole S##T load of animal loving tree hugging biologists. One of the guys in this group has a saying "If it is brown, it is down."
Well for me "If its white, and in my sights, same result.

The only problem with shooting albino's is you need to wear sunglasses so your not blinded by the glare! :)
If they were trying to protect them you think it would be in the regs. The last time I checked with Olympia which was 5 or 6 years ago you could bang 'em.
-
Its bad luck and guarnatees you will never draw a good tag if u shoot an albino. Your choice...
-
Not true...it's GOOD luck. ;)

last year out in ravensdale my grandparents had a doe with one albino and one piebald fawn in tow one of the collest things ive seen
