i was looking for some recommendations on early season archery clothing. i have some predator camo i usually use just looking for something is a little cooler to wear in the hot weather.
The Predator clothes are kind of heavy fabric.
You could look for some of the lighter weight BDUs. Multicam is great stuff.
Part of it also depends on if you're backpack hunting or hunting from the truck. If you're backpack hunting I wouldn't go with BDUs, I'd take something like Sitka Mountain Pants or Ascent pants.
Mictrotex lite is good stuff if it fits you. The cut on the pants doesn't fit me at all. Wholesale Sports has some stuff that I can't remember the name of that a buddy of mine really likes.

Old broke in pair of summer BDU's and a tshirt, Throw a little heavier gear in the pack if it looks like it could get nasty :twocents: and a worn pair of jungle boots

me as well plateau, i still have some BDU's from when i was in the infantry, i even still got the old green and black jungle boots that are perfectly broke in, it has to be pretty bad out before i dont where that stuff, even if i get soaked by the time i get home it all dry and ready for the next day :tup:Old broke in pair of summer BDU's and a tshirt, Throw a little heavier gear in the pack if it looks like it could get nasty :twocents: and a worn pair of jungle boots

Yep, still got 2 pairs from back in the day. Can almost fit into them again and 1 pair was my field pair and I had to keep the pair I used for inspections. It's still hard as cardboard and looks brand new yet. I haven't gone wrong yet with them and plan to wear them until they fall apart. :chuckle:

Whack em - I used Kryptek Alaios pants and shirt last year over a merino base layer and the combination was great for early season archery. Was warm enough for the cooler mornings and breathed good enough for the 95+ middle of the day. THe pants are loaded with features and pockets and the shirt is a perfect mix of stretch and durability.
Not to mention the company was founded by some ex-military guys who have a passion for hunting and making the best technical clothing. :tup:

Thanks for the reply, we're leaning towards them. Sounds like they will be great for the temperature ranges we'll face early season.

Buy the Cabela's Hunt Tech 6-pocket pants instead of Kryptic. Same material, better construction & fit, only six pockets (who really needs 12 pockets in their pants?) and 1/2 the price of Kryptic!

I love the knee pads (I thought I would hate them), I also liked the extra pockets. I know I could probably store all the stuff in my pack or jumble it one pocket, but I was able to keep my calls, face mask, gloves, beanie, chap stick, gps, etc... all organixed and accessible without taking off my pack.
