Yes. Horses are the main mode of travel from what I see. There is a lot of BIG mulies up there.

oh yeah..Take a drive in October up the fs road..there is about 225+ mulies harvested every rifle season in the unit
-
I kinda figured it gets hit pretty hard during deer season. Did see two nice bucks on the hike. And some fresh bear sign on the trail
-
I rode my mule up there last year, it was an awesome ride, seen quite a few nice mulies and alot of fresh bear sign as well.

Many guys hunt bear up there?

All the guys I know hunt them, which doesn't say much, since I don't have any friends ........ :chuckle: It's not elbow to elbow full of people at all. Why, ya wanna come up here and try ?

lol... Good one campmeat..

The thought of bear hunting or archery deer did cross my mind. :) But a new possibility a high buck hunt might be in the cards now.
-
I would love if they would make it a high hunt but it would be impossible because of all the roads close to the ridge top and its not a wilderness area and i pray it never becomes one..

Well Jess, ya know Conseravtion NW has bought some property near Republic up near the mine.

True there are some roads really close to the ridge. Depending on work. Might try and go into the Henry M Jackson for the high buck hunt.
